WHO: Iceberg
WHAT: Alternative to the conventions of formal codes of dressing. Iceberg is day to night, mountain to rave. There is an attitude—unexpected details clash to create a harmony. A respect of the history of the brand with a dive into a pool of newness.
WHERE: Founded in 1974 by Giuliana Marchini Gerani and husband Silvano Gerani. Headquarters in San Giovanni in Marignano, Emilia-Romagna, showroom is in the heart of the Milanese district quadrilatero, and the design office—led by UK Creative Director James Long—is often remote.
HOW: Starting with an expertise in knitwear over the past 40/ 50 years the brand has developed into mixed material details, intricate technical detailing, Italian know-how with a eclectic focused young design team.
WHY: We started as a reaction to dressing in luxury sportswear. In 1974, that was radical.
