INSTYLE AND AMAZON FASHION WANT YOU TO SHOP LOCAL

Today, InStyle has teamed up with Amazon Fashion to offer an online shopping destination which fosters homegrown design talent. The digital storefront will provide support to smaller Germany-based designers, offering them the opportunity to share their unique brand journeys and showcase their collections to millions and helping them to grow even amidst uncertain times. The online shop was conceived in conjunction with Amazon Fashion Connects—a Europe-wide initiative encompassing a number of different projects, each with their own fashion industry partners.

Just last month in Spain, Amazon Fashion became an official partner of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid whereby a number of Spanish designers’ catwalk shows were live streamed across Amazon Fashion’s social media channels, with many of their collections becoming immediately shoppable at Amazon Fashion as soon as the shows finished. The initiative, dedicated to spotlighting independent, established, small and medium sized fashion designers in Spain, provided them with an opportunity to tell their brand story to millions of customers and utilise Amazon’s speed and convenience of delivery.

Launching today (Friday 16th October) the InStyle x Amazon Fashion store offers a carefully curated selection of AW pieces from a number of exciting local designers.  “The new shopping destination enables us, as a brand, to increase our visibility among customers—in addition to our stores and online activity,” says eponymous label founder Vladimir Karaleev, whose designs—from deconstructed outerwear to padded puffas—will be featured as an exclusive on the store. Other noteworthy labels include Berlin-based Marina Hoermanseder, Munich-born brand Talbot Runhof and activewear label KCA LAB, pioneers in sustainable sportswear.
