Like Weekday and FILA, who have just dropped a 20 pieces strong collaboration for SS18, based on exactly this sense of solidarity. Titled “Strength in Unity” the Weekday x FILA collaboration not only sees the brand’s social standpoints, but also their aesthetics merge. The pieces are at once reminiscent of FILA’s strong sportswear and streetwear influences and Weekday’s minimalist approach, creating a strong melting pot of what both brands do best: functionality, flexibility, and a distinct focus on fashion.
With its “Strength in Unity” collection, Weekday is once again highlighting its quest of connecting fashion to broader pop-cultural and social happenings. In line with other collections like the inimitably popular Zeitgeist offering, where a new T-Shirt is created and sold every week in strong relation to current cultural developments, the Swedish denim and fashion brand’s newest collaboration ties into more than just trends. Rather it puts an emphasis on creating messages that last. And on doing so together instead of alone.
