The orchestrator behind this week’s mix is Vaiper Vitalijus, hailing from Lithuania and coming through Berlin’s new club scene with a knowledge of and strong roots in cultural societies and urban culture. He tries to document the atmosphere of the post-soviet block and Baltic states, who have seen a generation of kids grow up eager to catch, re-shape and adopt any creative waves from the outside. In this raw, at times melancholic mix, you’ll find rhythms mostly from Lithuania as well as some pieces representing Latvia and Estonia – and a whole lot of heart through all of it.
