We met up with Hong Kong based internet channel Goldfish TV to talk all about their public space inspired film-making. Due to millennials having a memory of around 50 seconds, much like a gold fishes, their pun-like name came about. Despite the warfare of the same name, their guerrilla styled films are controlled but subtly rebel through the eyes of music, art, fashion and hip-hop in Hong Kong. After meeting on Instagram and hanging out regularly, Goldfish TV expanded from taking fashion photography images to capturing the underground party scene of Hong Kong while maintaining an unfiltered perspective throughout.
Traveling through Taipei, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Seoul in the summer of 2017 and exploring each city’s vibrant underground scene, audio-visual agency deadHYPE captured a series of intimate dialogues they had with the creative minds they encountered – see all videos uncovering Asia’s underground here.
