TAKE A PEEK AT ALL-FEMALE COLLECTIVE RECONSTRUCT’S NEW CAMPAIGN

Dutch all-female collective label Reconstruct has had some bad luck recently: Suffering a cyber attack both on their website and Instagram. A young brand, they’re back with a vengeance, their comeback made official with a new editorial for the Reconstruct SS18 collection. A characteristic eclectic mix of styles and elements, the new collection from the self-named “superhero girl squad” perfectly encapsulates the combination of strengths the girls talked about when we interviewed them back in February. Inspired by everything from Sailor Moon to streetwear, their garments are unique, all-gender, and envisioned to rebel against the narrow expectations of the fashion industry.

Shot by Rutger van Leeuwen, the label wanted to create a fresh aesthetic and put the collection in a different, more pared back setting. A relaunch of the SS18 collection and of the collective itself, if you like.
