Floating on a boat through Paris, Ottolinger just presented its SS18 collection in France’s capital last week – in line with the brand’s continuous strive against the mainstream and towards the source of avantgarde. Deconstructing and reassembling clothes and looking to unexpected notions of inspiration, Cosima Gadient and Christa Bösch this season around took a trip to Switzerland and discovered an edelweiss flower fabric, mostly worn by farmers as workwear, which then got translated into their signature knotted dresses and shirts. With their name very much on the rise as one of the most progressive brands coming out of Berlin at the moment, we went backstage at the recent Ottolinger SS18 show, ready to conquer Paris with their radical designs.
