TAKE A LOOK AT THE SECOND SLAM JAM X CARHARTT WIP COLLAB

The second Slam Jam x Carhartt WIP collab is here. The much-loved workwear brand has once again teamed up with the multi-faceted Italian lifestyle label, to create a collaborative capsule collection for AW17.

While the two companies have enjoyed a nearly 30-year working relationship, this is only the second time they have come together for a project like this, a sequel to their 2015 collaboration. True to its name, the “Minute Man Service” collection takes inspiration from ’60s gas stations and the workers who would provide quick fixes for the vehicles of those journeying across America.

SLAM JAM X CARHARTT WIP COLLABORATION COLLAB STREETWEAR WORKWEAR MINUTE MAN AMERICANA 1960S 60SThe collection focuses on the idea of utilitarian uniforms, with a contemporary spin. Working from a selection of staples taken from Carhartt WIP’s extensive archive, Slam Jam has created a seven-piece poly-cotton collection, which references the kind of hard-wearing uniforms of the gas station era.

Available in two colourways – black and blue – garments feature tonal patches which draw from the iconic logos of various petrol companies. The accompanying lookbook was shot by Bruna Kazinoti and styled by Nicco Torelli – check out the rest of the lookbook below.
