Although its focus is determinedly to the future, Sandro Homme looks back to the rich legacy of the past for inspiration. For Autumn/Winter 2017, brand founder Ilan Chetrite gave the legendary lace-up Derby shoe a new lease of life, whilst still preserving the tradition and class of the past, carefully hand-crafted in England to top it off. Voilà: the Sandro Derby.

To ensure longevity, the Derby is finished with the Goodyear method: the first seam connects the sole to the lining and the frame of the shoe. Meanwhile, the second seam connects the internal structure to the vamp, so that it can be easily replaced over the years. The insole is made from real cork and moulds itself to the shape of the foot, closer to the perfect fit – and total comfort – each time they’re worn, while black calf leather articulates the classic round form. This shoe proudly references its heritage.

Whether in combination with a classic suit or a more relaxed wardrobe, every pair of Derbys embodies Sandro’s brand philosophy: elegance, quality, and refinement.
