In case you haven’t noticed, it’s time you did: By announcing a long-term partnership with Converse, Jonathan Anderson’s low-key take over of the fashion industry continues.
Aside from the fact that the Northern Irish fashion designer not only leads his own namesake brand, the very successful JW ANDERSON, but he also managed to re-establish age-old Madrid-based maison LOEWE as one of THE labels of the moment. Past collaborational stints include work with Versus Versace, A$AP Rocky, plus an upcoming line for Japanese retailer Uniqlo.
“I’ve been wearing Converse for years and years, so when they approached me I couldn’t turn it down because it’s something that I wear,” he tells BoF in response to how the JW ANDERSON x Converse collection came about. To kick off a new chapter of “When luxury meets street style”, Anderson debuted the first range of his spin on Converse in Florence, Italy, at this season’s Pitti Uomo Men’s Fashion Week. Take a look at a handful of the JW ANDERSON x Converse-models below:
The styles will be available through both brands starting this fall. We know we’ll be buying!
