Since Ashish Gupta started onto the LFW runways in 2004, he more than proved that his collections are not just a eccentric mix of Eastern and Western cultures, but also of patterns and fabrics. For the upcoming autumn / winter season, the designer presented a ready to wear range that is inspired by Jane Fonda in Klute – a movie about a bunch of high-class hookers who only dress for themselves. Glossy over-knee stripper boots and sequin-embroidered lingerie mini dresses meet oversized camo bombers, used-looking studded tie-dye denims and a lot of patchwork fake-fur items that come in different animal patterns. One thing is for sure: this collection is for all the emancipated, glamorous sex-warriors out there.
